The Oxfam Shop in Frogmore Street has won first prize in Abergavenny town council’s annual window display competition.
The Mayor Councillor Maureen Powell, who had judged the entries this year, presented the cheque for £150 and winner’s certificate to manager Robin Noble on Monday.
Joint second (and awarded £75 each) were Cuddle and Cwtch and Adela.
“We encourage shops in the town centre to decorate their windows at this time of year and many did a really job - but there has to be a winner,” said Councillor Powell.
“Oxfam had a good mix including a traditional nativity scene, a decorated tree and some Christmas-themed clothing.”
Mr Noble said they were delighted to win and would put the money into two Oxfam projects - Goats for Africa and Safe Water for 100 (ranging from families facing an emergency to a community without a nearby supply).
