Abergavenny is buzzing at the moment with events being held to raise money for the Eisteddfod.
Adding to this list of concerts, folk bands, readings and plays an event is to be held in the beautifully restored Chapel in Market Street on Thursday, December 10 when Owen Sheers will be in conversation with Glyn Mathias.
Glyn Mathias is the ex political editor for BBC and ITN and is the son of the poet Roland Mathias. Owen has just returned from six weeks in America and Canada on a publisher’s tour for his last novel ’I Saw a Man.’
The Bristol Old Vic production of Owen’s verse drama Pink Mist will be performed at The Bush Theatre, London in January and February 2016.
As well as discussing the work they will explore the strains and stresses of being a full time writer in the 21st Century.
Tickets are £12 and all proceeds go to the Eisteddfod fund. The evening starts at 7pm.
