PEOPLE living in Abergavenny will be able to ask questions about the community at Town Council meetings from September.

At last week's meeting, members agreed to test out a 15 minute public question time at the start of each monthly meeting.

The aim of the trial period is to give the public a chance to speak to members directly.

Councillor John Prosser said he was "all for" public consultation and wanted it to happen.

Members agreed and voted for the trial period to start in September for six months.

Anyone interested in asking questions must contact the Town Clerk Peter Johns on (01873) 853817.
