SOME 40,000 people packed the streets of Abergavenny during the weekend for what organisers are hailing as the most successful Food Festival ever.

Despite fears of bad weather, the festival's luck held with crowds thronging the streets anxious to savour all it had to offer.

With appearances from celebrity chefs like Silvena Rowe and Bill Grainger blending seamlessly with local delights, the weekend more than lived up to its reputation as the UK's best weekend out!
