Community engagement events at Llanover and Llanvapley organised by Monmouthshire County Council will give residents the opportunity to discover the latest plans for the deployment of superfast broadband.
Representatives from British Telecom (BT) will be present to provide details of the programme, types of technology, how to order and options for residents.
The events will be held at Llanover Village Hall on Wednesday November 16 and Llanvapley Pavilion on Tuesday November 22. Both will start at 5.30pm.
Councillor Bob Greenland, Monmouthshire’s cabinet member for innovation and enterprise said, “Superfast broadband is vital for today’s residential and business communities and the council urges and supports all moves to see it available across our county.”
The engagement events are a result of calls from the council’s Economy and Development Select Committee for greater progress on the development of BT’s superfast broadband programme.
Residents who wish for similar events to be arranged in their communities should contact Head of Economy and Enterprise, Cath Fallon - [email protected]
