POLICE are appealing for information after a 22-year-old Abergavenny hospital patient did not come back from an escorted trip on Friday

Missing Perry Smith, who is a patient at Llanarth Court Hospital, was on a escorted visit to Abergavenny town centre but failed to return to the hospital.

Gwent Police are now appealing for information about his whereabouts. It is believed Mr Smith could be a "potential risk without his medication".

Mr Smith was last seen walking from Abergavenny bus station into the town centre at around 10.30am on Friday morning.

He is described as white with a shaved head. He was wearing a green waterproof short mac, brown Krishna t-shirt, black linen trousers and black Vans trainers with white soles. He was carrying a green camouflage rucksack.

Members of the public, if they do see Perry, are asked to call police.

If anyone knows of his whereabouts they are asked to call 101 quoting log number 201 22/08/15.
