A 28 year old man from Abergavenny has been banned from entering Abergavenny town centre as well as banned from asking any members of the public for money or other valuables, after being given a Criminal Anti-Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO).   Jayce Ewers had the three year order imposed upon him by Newport Magistrates Court on Tuesday June 17 following an application by Gwent Police.     If this order is breached in any way, then a custodial sentence of up to five years can be imposed by the court upon conviction.    Abergavenny Crime and Disorder Reduction Officer, PC Mal John said, "Gwent Police made the application to offer protection to the residents, retailers and visitors to Abergavenny from his persistent anti-social behaviour and criminality. "We are pleased that the court recognises his conduct has been intolerable and hope that the order will either lead Mr Ewers to curb his behaviour or that it will give officers the ability to robustly deal with any breaches."   It was ordered that Mr Ewers is now prohibited from approaching any member of the public for the purpose of asking for money or other items of value. He was also prohibited from entering Abergavenny town centre, High Street, Frogmore Street, Nevill Street, Lewis Lane, Flannel Street, Cross Street, St Mary's Church and grounds, Market Street, King Street, Bus station, Aldi's grounds, Waitrose grounds, any public car parks all between 8am and 8pm, except to attend at Shackleton's chemist Nevill Street for a prescription.   The order will last until midnight on June 17 2017.
