A MASSIVE £4,500 was given to Homemakers Community Recycling from the lottery funded grants programme 'Awards for all Wales.'
The money will go towards office, vehicle and safety equipment and be used to help develop Homemakers' Environmental House Clearance Service.
The equipment will allow Homemakers to divert more materials from landfill in its partnership Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council and Monmouthshire County Council.
Chairman Richard Lewis said he was thrilled at the award, "Homemakers House Clearance Service has really taken off. The grant will enable Homemakers to offer a more professional service to the community. We are extremely grateful to lottery fund for this help."
