LLANARTH put the pace into the Premier Division last week after winning two games and drawing one.
On Monday they beat Pandy 1-0 with a first-half goal by man of the match Steve Morgan before going onto thrash Division One's Cwmffrwdoer in Round Two of the P&P Pest Control Open Cup.
In the Cwmffrwdoer game Llanarth run out 8-3 winners after goals from Thomas Bowden (2), Jamie Edwards (2), Daniel Wheeler (2), Colin Morgan and Steve Morgan.
On Saturday Llanarth could only muster nine players for the visit to the 'Island' to tackle Usk Town and by half-time they had slumped to a 3-1 deficit.
However, Llanarth's numerical inferiority was less of a problem in the second-half after Usk had Shaun Taylor sent off and the match finished honours even on 4-4.
The Barton Brothers of Will and man of the match Jeremy bagged two goals apiece for Usk and the Llanarth strikes came from a brace by Steve Morgan, and solo efforts by Colin Morgan and Thomas Jones.
Man of the match for Llanarth was Daniel Wheeler.
Elsewhere in the Premier Division Pandy were dealt a terrible hand in midweek by Trevethin who battered them 0-6. Mark Hughes was Pandy's man of the match.
Current Division One leaders Clydach Wasps absolutely destroyed Cwmffrwdoer to the tune of 0-13 during a midweek mauling.
Chris Evans chalked up four goals for the Wasps and Dan Hartland and Scott Ambler answered Clydach's call with a hat-trick each. Man of the match Jonathan Powell, Arron Powell and Phil Odowda also acquainted themselves with the back of a very worn looking Cwmffrwdoer net.
Also in midweek the Wasps won 1-2 away against the Blaenavon Blues who fielded a young, lively side.
The Wasps led 0-1 at half-time through a Scott Ambler penalty goal scored in the 20th minute.
Matthew Williams put the Wasps 0-2 up with a goal scored in the 60th minute.
Leigh Carrick pulled a goal back for the Blues in the 80th minute but it was a case of too little too late for Blaenavon.
Man of the match for Clydach was Ryan Watkins. Man of the match for Blaenavon was Brad Jones.
In midweek Blaenavon beat second-placed side Goytre 2-1 after Lee Challenger and Leigh Carrick both netted for the homeside. Gareth Edmunds got the Goytre goal.

On Saturday Clydach Wasp's run of rich form continued when they beat New Inn 3-0, courtesy of goals from Tyrone Gravell (2) and Danny Harland.
In midweek the Abergavennny Thursdays felt the sharp side of Sebastopol's sword after they were on the wrong end of a 5-1 defeat.
Man of the match for the Thursdays was Ashley Morgan.
Govilon's midweek match against Race ended up all square on 3-3 following a brace from Lewis Meadows and a goal by Robbie Burns.
Man of the match for Govilon was Danny Marfell.
Division Two leaders Prescoed gained an easy three points and five goals on Saturday after Pontypool Town 'B' failed to show.
Elsewhere in Division Two, Llanarth 'B' were dealt a humiliating lesson in the art of destruction following their 11-0 pasting by Trevethin 'B'.
Man of the match for Llanarth was Dave Dwyer.
Usk Town 'B' were also on the receiving end of a sound spanking from a Torfaen based side, when Pontypool Town 'B' hit them hard for a 6-0 scoreline.
Llanarth 'B' fared little better last Saturday as Clydach 'B' went to town on them and returned home happy after winning 11-2.
Goalscorers for Clydach 'B' were Scott Ambler (2), Jasper Morgan (2), Nathan Wall, David Guilford, Ross Long and Jeff Hall who scored his first goal in four years, and Ben Davies and Gregg Lewis who scored their first goal of the season.
Llanarth B' Justin Mann also gave away an own goal and Richard Gibbs scored both of the Llanarth 'B' goals.
