CURRENT Premier Division leaders Llanarth visited Albion Road and gave Pontypool a 2-6 kicking.

Richard Wakeling headed Pontypool Town into a 1-0 lead after six minutes and their advantage remained until the second half.

Llanarth drew level in the 47th minute through a goal by Dan Wheeler as he amended for a missed penalty early doors.

Colin Morgan increased Llanarth's lead to 1-3 with two quick goals scored in the 60th and 62nd minute .

Strikes by man of the match Dan Wheeler and Jan Morris put Llanarth even further ahead on 1-5 and after another consolation goal scored by Ponty's Richard Wakeling, Llanarth sealed Albion's fate five minutes from time with a another goal to make it 2-6 at the end of play.

As a consequence of Saturday's result Llanarth increase their lead over second-placed side Raglan by four points.

Llanfoist's fortunes are picking up after their derby against Pandy ended in a 3-2 victory.

Strikes for Llanfoist came from Tom Kelly (2) and Adam Barber.

Pandy netted through Kirk Morgan and Mark Hughes.

Crickhowell welcomed Gilwen and District to their Elvicta Ground who repaid in kind by beating the home team 1-2.

Alun Jones put Crick 1-0 up after 30 minutes fron ten yards, following some good attacking play by Rob Young.

Gilwen pulled level five minutes before half-time through a goal by David Thomas, who bagged his brace and Gilwern's winner in the 80th minute with a tap-in from five yards out.

It was honours even on 'the Island' as Raglan and Usk locked horns for a 4-4 stalemate.

Anthony Rennie gave Raglan a 0-1 lead and Daniel Jones scored for Usk to make it all square going into the interval.

Come the second-half and Will Barton put Usk's noses in front, before a Lewis Thomas own goal saw Usk throw away their slender lead.

Raglan capitalised when Neville Harris put his team one goal up at 2-3, but back bounced Usk with a Charlie Risk goal to level affairs once more.

Philip Sanson stepped up for Usk to poke a goal over with his toe, but not to be undone David Elias put Raglan back in contention five minutes from time with the last goal of the match to make it 4-4 at the end of play.

Division One table-toppers Govilon hosted second-placed team PILCS and slapped them down regally with a 2-0 victory.

Ben Bergoyne led the way with a goal scored after 20 minutes and Lewis Meadows added his name to the Govilon account in the 55th minute to give them a 2-0 win.

Despite going into the interval 1-2 up courtesy of goals from Daryl Brenton, the Blaenavon Blues were undone in the last 15 minutes of the second-half by the Clydach Wasps who added to Aaron Powell's first-half goal with strikes from Mark Prosser, super sub Simon Tippins (2) and Adam Carrington to make it 5-2 to the Wasps.

Mardy collected maximum points over Fairfield at the Ravine Ground after winning the match 2-4.
