Young people from throughout Gwent are set to get together in Abergavenny for a day of music, dance and drama.
The Integrated Youth Event (IYE) Festival will see young performers entertain the crowds in the town’s Bailey Park from 11am to 6pm on Saturday, July 8.
Visitors will be able to have a go at African drumming and beat-boxing, design their own T-shirt or play giant games including Connect 4, Jenga, draughts and chess.
The Covenant Players, which has pioneered the use of drama in churches, schools and the community, will also be running street theatre workshops and putting on mini-dramas.
And, if it all gets too much, there’ll be a chill-out tent for parents with young children.
The event, which is free, is organised by 7Corners, a project funded by the Bridge to Cross Charitable Trust dedicated to offering hope and hospitality to all young people by providing a safe space in Abergavenny for them to meet, get help with personal development and support if needed.
