POLICE are appealing for information on a patient who has absconded from a mental illness hospital.
David Idris Lewis, 49, absconded from Ty Gwyn Hall in Abergavenny. He was reported missing to police on Tuesday, July 22.
He is described as white, approximately five feet nine inches tall with short shaved brown hair. At the time of his disappearance he was clean shaven.
He was last seen wearing combat trousers, a green t-shirt and was carrying a rucksack. Its possible he could have made his way to the South Wales, West Midlands, Warwickshire or West Mercia areas as he has connections in these areas.
Police say he could be a potential risk as he is no longer on controlled conditions.

Ty Gwyn Hall is an independent hospital, which provides 24 hour nursing care to adult clients diagnosed with a severe and enduring mental illness. The hospital is situated in extensive grounds approximately two miles from Abergavenny.
