TWO PEOPLE were arrested following a police search of a house in Abergavenny last week. On Tuesday, July 13 at approximately 6.40am a search warrant was carried out on a house in Charles Crescent, Abergavenny.

The search resulted in the police finding a small quantity of cannabis and amphetamine and two people were arrested for illegal possession of drugs.

Local neighbourhood policing teams took action following information received from the local community.

PC Angela Rees from Abergavenny Neighbourhood Policing Teams explained, "These arrests reflect the seriousness with which the police in Monmouthshire deal with allegations of illegal possession of drugs.

Concerns about anti-social behaviour of any kind will be acted upon swiftly in all of our communities.

"We would like to thank the public for providing us with this information. We always treat information received from the public seriously and confidentially and we will always take positive action."
