I WISH to reply to an anonymous OAP and his/her
comments on works being carried out at the Angel Hotel
Abergavenny.
Why should the Griffiths family compensate anyone? They
have invested a vast amount of money in a refurbishment
programme of Abergavenny's traditional hotel.
If anyone should be compensated it should be Alan and
William Griffiths. They have, in four years, converted a
dilapidated wreck of a building into a vibrant landmark for
Abergavenny.
Incidentally, where is the Angel car park? At the rear of
the hotel. Surely, that is sufficient incentive to open the
road in question as soon as physically possible.
As for a 9ft lane being a main artery of the town, please
be serious. The police losing their route to the police
station - no comment!
