USK marksman Rhys Price proved sure of shot, steady of nerve and bang on the money recently when he targeted and bagged a number of prestigious titles at the Clay Target Shooting Autumn International Grand Prix held in Malta.
Rhys, who began shooting at the age of 12, travelled to Malta with the Welsh team to compete in the event - which is a competition shot over three days on the Bidnija ranges.
The eagle-eyed young 'shootist' returned from Malta with a Bronze medal for being placed third overall in the competition.
Rhys also picked up the titles of Best individual foreign shooter, High Gun for the Welsh team and second place as part of a three man Welsh team in the team event.
Rhys, who works for the National Grid Company as an electrical fitter, also represented his county earlier this year in the disciplines of National and Olympic Skeet. He then qualified to represent Wales as a junior in both categories.
Rhys told the Chronicle, "Since June this year I have concentrated on Olympic Skeet, one of only two disciplines recognised by the Olympic Committee.
"I represented Wales at the home international in Northern Ireland winning junior high gun and finishing second overall with the Welsh team."
On the heels of his success in Malta, Rhys added, "My ambition for the future is to concentrate on the discipline of Olympic Skeet with a view to gaining further National and International recognition and maybe a place in the GB team."
