THE grand finals of this year's Abergavenny's 'Xmas Factor' are nearly upon us and this year's show promises to be a real treat of talent, showcase of skill and night to remember.

With 12 finalists competing for the crown of the 2011 'Xmas Factor' winner, the competition promises to be fierce, fun, ferocious and fantastic.

Yet at the end of the day, there can be only one winner, and because this year it's such an open field, all bets are off.

Choosing the finalists from such a diverse and talented array of acts in the audition stages was a task of epic proportions in itself, so let's not envy the judges who have to pick a winner from the cream of Abergavenny's crop.

Organiser Sharon Lewis told the Chronicle, "This is the last Xmas Factor that me and Lisa will be organising so we want to go out with a bang. This year we've got a more diverse and eclectic range of talent than ever before. From dancing kick-boxers to show singers, and a young lad who only sung in public for the first time at the auditions - but because he was such an amazing talent we just had to put him through.

"We've also got a male voice choir coming down from Bridgend to add a little more punch to the proceedings, which promise to be more fun, festive, and friendly than ever before."

Why not find out what all the fuss is about for yourself on Saturday December 3, when the Abergavenny Xmas Factor 2011 rolls into the town's Borough Theatre and gives the local stars of tomorrow an opportunity to shine.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5.50 for adults and £3.50 for children, and can be obtained from the theatre box office on 01873 850805.
