An Abergavenny funeral director is keen to scale new heights in a bid to create an Easter egg mountain this year.
Abergavenny Funeralcare in Castle Street has launched a public appeal for Easter egg donations to help bring cheer to local children.
It’s part of a national initiative by Co-operative Funeralcare, the UK’s leading funeral director, which is seeking support from communities nationwide to help create a four ton chocolate mountain.
Mr Andrew Southwell (Funeral Director) and Ms Pauline Owen (Funeral Arranger) said, “Last year we gathered over 12,500 eggs which were distributed to hundreds of children throughout the country. This year we want to boost that amount by weighing in a four ton mass of eggs nationwide and help bring a bit of joy to many more youngsters.”
Easter eggs cash be handed in to local branch staff until Wednesday April 12.
