FOUR people were led to safety after a fire broke out at a flat in Gladstone Street, Brynmawr earlier this morning. One person required hospital treatment for a head injury while three others were unhurt.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service sent crews from Abertillery, Blaina and Brynmawr to to tackle the blaze, which occurred at around 4am, using two hose reel jets, two thermal imaging cameras, safety jets and ladders.
