Abergavenny Food Festival is the town’s busiest weekend of the year and the team at The Angel always look forward to the festival buzz, as guests come from far and wide to experience what has become known as ’The Food Capital of Wales’.
There’s something for everyone at The Angel this Food Festival Weekend, making it the perfect spot to catch up with friends and soak up the festival vibes, right in the middle of the action…
The Bakers from the new Angel Bakery will be putting their incredible bread ovens to work, cooking up a storm of local produce for the community feast, on Thursday, September 15 in the Market Hall, which is back for 2017 by popular demand! Tickets can be purchased on the food festival website and the feast will be served on family style platters, packed with local produce.
New for 2017 there will be a VIP area ‘Petit Paris’ outside the front of the hotel, where jazz music will set the scene as staff serve Bollinger Champagne and Oysters, alongside the hotel’s annual Welsh cake, scone and tea/coffee stand.
The Angel will launch their new High Tea menu ‘GB & Tea’ over food festival weekend, where a variety of beverages made with Williams GB Gin (The Angel’s house pour) will be available to pair with their award-winning High Teas.
If beer is more your thing, then ‘Sir Harry’, The Angel’s very own beer will return, following the fantastic feedback received after its introduction during Food Festival 2016. Sir Harry is brewed especially for The Angel at Wye Valley Brewery and will be available all weekend from both The Angel and The Abergavenny Hotel bars.
To make a reservation for the restaurant or tea room, or to find out more about any of the above, please contact the hotel on 01873 857121.’
