TWO separate incidents on the Hardwick roundabout in the past week have left five people injured.

On Monday The A4042 was closed between Llanover and Penperlleni when the road was partially blocked when a lorry shed its load on the A40 at the Hardwick Roundabout.

The incident occured when a lorry collided with the road infrastructure and a digger which was being transported by the lorry fell off, leaving one man with minor injuries.

On Tuesday four people were involved in a two car collision on the A4042 at Llanover.

Injuries of two male drivers were being assessed as The Chronicle went to press while their two female passengers received minor injuries.

All four were conveyed to Nevill Hall Hospital following the incident which happened at 11.10 am between a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a grey Rover.
