FIREMAN Matthew Gould cycled for 10 hours and raised a massive £700 for charity.
Matthew, aged 26, from Abergavenny station raised money for the Fire Fighters Charity on the Steam Rally weekend.
He cycled around 200 miles on a special bike in Cibi Walk and was joined by local bike shop owner Miles Preece from M&D Cycles.
"I did five hours on the Sunday and five hours on the Monday. I want to thank everyone who supported me and especially Miles who cycled three hours with me - after racing himself the day before."
Matthew has been based in Abergavenny for four years. His aim is to raise money for a London to Paris ride in September and he plans to do his next sponsored ride during the Food Festival and the Festival of Cycling.
