ABERGAVENNY'S Keepersfit Fitness Centre has gone from strength to strength in recent months and can now offer a fully comprehensive range of services and facilities that will have all ages and genders fighting fit in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Situated on the Union Road Industrial Estate just to the side of Nevill Hall Hospital, Keepersfit has long enjoyed an enviable reputation as a centre of excellence in the field of fitness.

Now, with the introduction of an exclusive Ladies Only Gym and a new Martial Arts and Fitness Academy called 'Klass A', (incorporating a fully matted and spacious training area and a range of punch bags) Keepersfit is in a league of it own when it comes to improving your physique, honing your skills and fine-tuning your fitness levels.

Keepersfit recognises that everyone is an individual and everyone's hopes, aspirations and needs are different. With an extensive array of up to the minute equipment Keepersfit can tailor programmes to anyone's needs.

If you are serious about losing weight, or just want to tone up, you will have an induction which includes a physical assessment and after consultation, a programme to suit your needs. In time as you get fitter, this programme can be amended. Everyone works at their own speed in a friendly, relaxed and enthusiastic atmosphere and the success rate is entirely in your hands.

Keepersfit Director, Ian Pateshall-Ward explained to the Chronicle, "Whatever your needs, Keepersfit can cater for them. Our recent expansion has been really exciting and we are very pleased to have the lads from Abergavenny RFC training in our newly matted unit area.

"We have also decided to run an exclusive Ladies Only Gym, where ladies of all ages can come and work out in a relaxed atmosphere."

Ian added, "However, we are particularly excited about our new venture, 'Klass A', which is a Martial Arts and Fitness Academy helmed by head instructor Tyerone Houston, who has a very impressive pedigree in the world of martial arts."

Former triple British Thai Boxing Champion and WAKO Pro Euro champ, Tyerone has fought competitively all over the world and is keen to pass on his skills to eager students, in either classes or unique one to one sessions.

Tyerone, who is fully competent in teaching a comprehensive range of martial arts including Thai Boxing, Brazilian jiujitsu, grappling and stick fighting, explained, "I enjoy teaching, as long as people want to learn, don't care about their age or gender, I am happy to show them how. Keepers Fit is a great facility, and with the newly installed MMA cage and extra space, training here is truly a 'Klass A' experience."
