Campaigners fighting for fair disabled access at Abergavenny Train Station may have reached their target after a transport body revealed a new development earlier today.
Transport for Wales confirmed that Abergavenny station would be included in a wider programme of improvements, specifically as a Disability Wales pilot station to improve accessibility.
When questioned on social media by Abergavenny Town Councillor Gethin Jones, the transport body confirmed the revamp would include improvements to the passenger bridge.
Transport Wales confirmed that full details of the project would be released next week.
