A FEMALE passenger of a motorcycle has died after is collided with a car at 1pm today (Thursday) in Brynmawr.

The motorcycle and car were involved on the collision on King Street, the main road running through the town.

Gwent Police is appealing for information to a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 1pm today, Thursday 3rd June.

A car and a motorcycle were involved on the collision on the main road, King Street, between Ebbw Vale and Brynmawr.

Two males in the green Ford Fiesta involved were not injured while the male rider of the motorcycle has been taken to Nevill Hall Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car has been arrested on suspicion of death by careless driving.

King Street remains closed in both directions to all traffic travelling between Ebbw Vale and Brynmawr.
