AN ABERGAVENNY man died after a crash near Pandy on the A465 on Friday night.

The 20-year-old man was driving a silver Volkswagen Lupo on the road towards Hereford when the crash happened at around 9.50pm.

Inspector Paul Waters of Gwent Police said the man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Nevill Hall Hospital.

The other occupant of the car, also a 20-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.

Both men are from the Abergavenny area.
