A LOCAL councillor and her family cleaned their local bus stop and collected an impressive six bags.

On Sunday, October 12 town councillor Amanda Dell, her husband Chris and nine-year-old daughter Emily carried out a litter pick at the bus stop on Brecon Road next to the gym.

"I had identified this as a problem area on one of my walk abouts around the Grofield Ward for which I am town councillor. It was a really horrible place to have to wait for a bus with the fence hanging over the pavement and the area behind covered with litter. We took away six full bin bags of rubbish including plastic and glass bottles and cans which were recycled. I have reported the fence to the South Wales Trunk Road Agency and will be following up to make sure that it is repaired as soon as possible."
