EASTER bonnets of all styles and colours graced the streets of Abergavenny at the weekend for the annual Easter Bonnet Parade.

Crowds gathered as they watched the parade lead through Abergavenny with organiser Fiona Beavan, dressed as a giant pink bunny, at the helm with Mayor and Mayoress John and Christine Prosser joining them.

The parade had twice as many entrants as last year as people of all ages from six weeks to 84 years gathered at the Abergavenny Coffee Bar in Cibi Walk before the walk to show case the wonderful range of bonnets and costumes.

Fiona Beavan said, " With the tremendous support of the Y-fenni Events group we have, from its inception three years ago, seen the parades go from strength to strength with more adults and children coming involved.

"It is our ambition to create the biggest Easter Bonnet Parade in this part of Wales and we actively encourage people from outside of Abergavenny to join us in this event next year and make it a truly spectacular Easter."
