A 23-year-old driver suffered serious head injuries in a single vehicle RTC at Llanvihangel Crucorney late on Sunday evening.

He was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital, where he currently remains.

Police were called to the scene of the accident on Grosmont Road at around 11.45pm.

The road was closed for approximately four hours whilst the collision was investigated.
