POLICE officers in Abergavenny are asking for help to identify a man following an alleged incident in the W?H?Smith store in Frogmore Street on Wednesday, November 11 when he allegedly became abusive to a member of staff.

Gwent Police would also like to speak with the two people pictured here in connection with the theft of an elderly woman’s purse in Aldi in Abergavenny on Saturday November 7 at 11.15am.

Police are currently investigating two similar thefts and are warning shoppers to keep watch on valuables at all times.

It is understood that in both incidents one person has distracted the victim while shopping, and the second has stolen the property.
