This Saturday committee members of Magic, a charity which provides inclusive opportunities for children and young people with additional needs, are joining parents and some Acorn centre staff for a fund-raising cycle challenge.

The cash raised will help fund Magic’s activities in Abergavenny and Chepstow including soft play sessions for children with additional needs and their siblings.

The charity also provide parties, fun days, music sessions and other inclusive activities as well as parent support groups.

The cycle challenge will follow two routes. Route 1 - Llanfoist to Gilwern - covers a round trip of 10km which is flat and easy, accessible and suitable for children, with a long downhill cycle path on the way back. Route 2 - Llanfoist to Talybont drawbridge - covers a total of 50km. While it’s a longer distance, the route is also flat and there’s a nice cafe at Talybont!

Most participants are doing Route 2.

There is also a fun day from 10.30am to 2pm at St Faith’s Church Hall in Llanfoist, with children’s activities, face painting, raffle and cake sale.
