CAT lovers in Abergavenny helped re-home a dozen stray animals.

The adoption day held this month was hailed a "huge success" by Loretta Kedward from Gwent Cats Protection.

She said, "It was brilliant! We homed 12 cats which is the best we've done in over a year. Lots of people came from the Abergavenny area and a lovely family from Crickhowell took home two beautiful young cats that had suddenly become homeless due to their owner having to move out and not being able to take them with her. I would like to thanks everyone who supported us."
