The Monmouthshire Business Awards (MBAs) – the ‘Welsh business Oscars’– is launching a new ‘Community Life’ award category to recognise any organisation, business person or enterprise that has contributed towards community life in the county.
This new category - sponsored by Monmouthshire County Council – is open to everyone in the Monmouthshire business community, and potential winners can be nominated by members of the public, businesses or colleagues to recognise an individual or group that has gone above and beyond to contribute towards their community.
Organiser Janet Harris said, “This new award is really special – it is going to give credit to the amazing people and businesses of Monmouthshire who deserve a big thank you for their self-less contribution to their towns and business communities.
"The MBAs play a pivotal role in helping Monmouthshire businesses celebrate success, promote ambition and encourage others to follow their business dream.’
Paul Matthews, Chief Executive of Monmouthshire County Council, said, “I’m really excited about judging the nominations in this new category to celebrate the difference that Monmouthshire’s businesses are making towards our community every day.
" The council has proudly been involved in the Monmouthshire Business Awards since its inception. One of our key business objectives is promoting enterprise, economic development and job creation – the Monmouthshire Business Awards complements this aim and plays a central role in promoting business within our beautiful county.”
