Abergavenny Light Opera Company is set to make a welcome return to the Borough Theatre in October and is looking for three exceptionally good child actors (two girls, one boy) to play the leading roles in its forthcoming production of The Railway Children.

Auditions will be held at Abergavenny Community Centre, Park Street on Sunday, February 28 from 10am to 12 noon.

The roles are that of Roberta, aged 14 to 18 (playing age), Phyllis aged eight to 14 (playing age) and Peter aged seven to 13 (playing age). Additionally, there are the smaller roles of the four Perks children (Colin, Elsie, Ginger, Patch) plus a chorus of children (male and female) aged seven to 18 years.

Adult auditions for leading roles will be held from 12.30pm the same day - for Mother, Perks, the Old Gent and Szczepansky with smaller roles assigned at a later date.
