Officers from Gwent Police swooped on an address in Llanfoist after reports of gunfire, earlier today.

Police converged on the scene, with a helicopter in support.

A Gwent Police spokesman later told the Chronicle, "At approximately 8.10am Thursday 16th May 2019, we were called to a report of a weapon being fired at property on Grove Avenue, Llanfoist, Abergavenny."

"Armed officers attended the address but found that no offences had been committed."
