PLANNING chiefs gave the Aldi store application the go-ahead this week.
The low-cost international food store will be built opposite Abergavenny bus station. The new approved scheme has been amended from original plans after members were not happy with certain design aspects.
The site will also accommodate 73 parking spaces for customers and the store will not sell newspapers or pharmacy items. Aldi will now withdraw their planning appeal.
