THE Abergavenny and District Pool League recently held a fundraising event for seven-month-old Jaiden Jobbins who suffers from cystic fibrosis.
Held in the town's Labour Club, the fundraising tournament saw players from the Abergavenny team battle it out across the green baize with members of the Welsh Special Pool team to generate funds for 'Jaiden's Vest Appeal'.
Event organiser Steve Skinner explained, "One of our members read an article about how Jaiden's family were trying to raise money for a state-of-the-art therapy system which would help the youngster cope with cystic fibrosis and suggested that we helped out.
"So through sponsorship and a raffle to win VIP tickets to this weekend's 'Legends of Snooker' tournament at Newport Centre we managed to raise some more money and a great day was had by all."
