TWO men armed with a knife attempted to force their way into a house in Blaenavon just after midnight on Tuesday, November 7.

A police spokesperson told the Chronicle, “We received a report of an attempted robbery at a house on Hillside Avenue in Blaenavon. Two unknown men knocked on the door of the property armed with a knife and asked for keys before running away from the house empty handed. No one was hurt during the incident however the residents were understandably very shaken.”

The two male offenders are described as both being white, in their 20’s around 5"7 tall and both wearing hooded tops.

Officers are investigating this incident and are appealing for anyone who has information to contact them. They would particularly be interested in hearing from anyone who might have seen anyone suspicious in the area just before midnight.
