Gwent Police have confirmed that a 36-year-old man has died after a body was found in Abergavenny yesterday (Wednesday March 2).

A spokesperson for Gwent Police issued the following statement to the Chronicle:

“Our officers were called to the bus station in Monmouth Road, Abergavenny at around 6.45am on Wednesday March 2 after a man was found unresponsive.

“Officers attended along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service who confirmed that a 36-year-old man had died. His next of kin have been informed.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been submitted to the coroner in relation to the death.”
