Three horses have gone missing from hillsides in the Blaenavon area in the last six weeks, police have said.

An owner of a black and white mare reported the animal missing on Thursday August 17. The six-year-old mare is 14 hands in height, with a distinctive white spot covering its left eye.

Two other mares, one black and white; the other a white mare with black mane, and black-marked shoulder, have also gone missing from the hillside between Blaina and Blaenavon.

Police urged anyone with information about these missing horses to call 101, and quote log 241 17/8/17 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
