GWENT Police are appealing for information following a burglary at the Co-op store in Blaenavon in the early hours of Friday, February 1.

Police received a report at around 2am that a white tvehicle had driven into the Co-op store in Blaenavon in an attempt to gain access to the store.

Officers attended the scene and found that the store front had been damaged in an attempt to pull out the ATM.

During the burglary, the offenders were able to access an unconfirmed amount of cash from within the machine.

Officers are now investigating and would like to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have any information on those responsible to please contact Gwent Police on 101, quoting Log number 43 01/02/19.
