POLICE are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a 2009 twin axle Hobby VIP caravan from a farm at Llanvihangel Crucorney near Abergavenny which was taken at 5.30am today. The caravan is white with a grey stripe.

Local residents are asked to check their CCTV or contact police if they saw or heard anything suspicious in the area.

Police are also warning caravan owners and caravan site owners to be particularly vigilant and keep caravans as secure as possible.

"Wheel locks and hitch-locks are good but not a deterrent to these thieves," said a police spokesman.
