Abergavenny Squash Club’s ‘D’ team played the ‘E’ team again, and won by four matches to one. The highlight of the night was the game between the two top players, Mark Nicholls and Rob Philips, which, although finishing 3-0 to Mark, was an excellent match, drawing applause from the balcony of watchers! The ‘D’ team remain in second place, with the ‘E’ team in third.
The ‘C’ team lost again to Cwmbran by four matches to one, with only Peter Steed, the Welsh Masters runner-up, winning his match. The team remain in third place in the league.

The ‘B’ team lost again by four matches to one against Newport ‘D’. Only Ellis Lawrence won his match, and unfortunately, upon returning to the team, Chris Phelps had a recurrence of his injury in the first set, and was unable to complete his match. The team remain in last place.

On the same night, the ‘A’ team lost once again, this time by four matches to one against Cardiff ‘A’. Only John Proctor won, whilst the other players could only muster one set between them all. As a result, the team drop into the relegation zone in seventh place, but there is still a lot to play for, as they are close to the sixth spot.
