FOLLOWING their 2-0 midweek reversal at Coed Eva, Govilon's second defeat in five days has put a severe dent in their title aspirations.

They fell behind after half an hour when Dan Jenkins slipped his markers and sped towards goal slotting past Parsons.

The deficit grew just after the re-start and it was Jenkins again who caused the damage launching a solo run towards goal and beating Parsons, who by now was carrying an injury.

Govilon came back into the game and Robert Frost went close, but Jenkins, who was giving the Govilon defence a torrid time, was not to be denied and completed his hat trick on the hour.

Govilon, who were missing several key players, had their misery compounded when Yeats added to Fairfield's tally, firing home from a low hard cross into the box.

On Saturday Govilon travel to AC Pontymister (3.00pm), and on Tuesday, April 23 entertain league leaders Lliswerry (6.30pm) in a must win game if they are to make their games in hand count.
