FOLLOWING a ferocious battle over 13 special stages on the Epynt military ranges near Sennybridge, Damian Cole and Jack Morton emerged the winners by two seconds in their Ford Focus WRC. The duo set fastest times on ten of the 13 stages to just pip Mark Straker and Neil Harrison in a Darrian T90 GTR to the win. In the past Cole has himself achieved some top results on Epynt in a Darrian T90 GTR. Abergavenny Auto Clubs's competition secretary Phil Jones was out with Mike Williams in a MG ZR, this time on tarmac not gravel, and finished 23rd overall and eighth in class three.
