WORLD darts champion Kevin Painter was recently on hand at the Abergavenny Labour Club to present trophies to the eight players who competed in the U18 South Wales darts league.

Staged over February/March, the league winner was Tom Jackson who in seven matches, had six wins and one draw.

The runner-up was Lloyd Llwelyn and in third place was Sam Price who also threw the most 180s.

Rhys Evans, Jack Davies, Jason Hollingworth, Lewis Holley and Damon Osbourne also picked up trophies on the evening.

Following the presentations, Painter played 24 legs of darts against members of the super league team, club teams and the U18s.
