AN Usk teenager has been recognised for her netball talent.
Myfanwy Fleming-Jones, 17, has gained selection for the South East Wales Talent Netball Centre at Under-21 level.
Myfanwy is a pupil at Monmouth School for Girls and has been in excellent form for the school and received first-class coaching at the talent centre.
The Year 12 student has been selected for the centre along with Year 10 Monmouth students Beatrice Newington-Bridges and Florence Taylor, who are training at under-17 level.
Myfanwy was part of the school’s first team which represented South East Wales in the Welsh Netball National Competition’s President’s Cup in Swansea.
Having qualified as county champions in February, the under-18s held their own against some of the best schools and colleges in Wales, winning matches against Ysgol Friars and Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni.
