RAGLAN Parc Golf Club Seniors wished new Captain, John Duthie, all the best when he took over the reins at their AGM recently.
After last year's very wet weather it must feel a bit like literally taking the helm.
Retiring Captain Stuart Bradley paid tribute to all members who showed good humour in adversity and thanked them for their patience in accepting changes of dates for matches due to the weather.
Overall during the year the section had played some excellent golf winning 13 and halving four of their 26 friendly matches. In addition they won the Woodlake Challenge for the second year running and were runners-up in the South Wales Classic.
As in previous years the Senior's Open was very successful and the section is delighted to invite members of all clubs to take part on April 17 this year. Please contact the club on 01291 690077 or email [email protected]">[email protected] for entry forms and more details.
Duthie said, "I am honoured to take over as Captain for the coming year and would like to thank Stuart Bradley for all his hard work in the previous year. It's quite a challenge to improve on his work and the results but I'm sure we will have a very happy and successful time of it."
