ABER’s match against Treowen Stars was played in a strong gale, and both sides struggled to make any real headway until Town’s double strike.

Jamie Summers set Town on their way with a headed goal after 20 minutes, and not to be outdone Craig Norman also headed home in the next minute as Town threatened to take a stranglehold on the game.

However, no other goals flowed and it was Treowen who netted next on the stroke of half time.

In the second half, although Town were in control they passed up several opportunities before Dean Morgan struck with nine minutes remaining, giving Town all three points, and consolidating their fourth placed position.

On Saturday, Town are home again entertaining local rivals, Tredegar Town (2.00pm).
