Abergavenny Town Girls Under 13s continued their fine form by going top of the South Wales Women’s and Girls league Division One with a fine 11-0 win over Villa Dino.

The squad is looking very healthy this season with competition for places all over the park, and a positive ethos being adopted by all the girls, which the coaching staff are delighted with.

The strike force of Ruby Gould, Eleri Jones, Macey McCann, Carys Pond and Meg Welford all played their part in the win, by creating numerous attempts on goal.

Midfielders Chelleter Graham-Sawyers, Gracie Grosvenor, Bella Wilce, Isabella Rudge and Mia Sherrard controlled the battle in the midfield with ease. Defenders Bobbi Allcock, Brooke Davies and Cristyn Powell never looked in trouble with a controlled display at the back, allowing keeper Katie Barker to have a quiet afternoons work.

Goals came with hat-tricks for both Eleri Jones and Meg Welford and a brace for Gracie Grosvenor. Mia Sherrard, Ruby Gould and Macey McCann all scored in what was a good win.
