ANOTHER competitive season draws to a close at the Monmouthshire Golf Club. Both Ladies league teams held onto their places in their respective divisions and thanks are due to Dawn Irving and Ann Gimblett who organised all the matches.

The Senior Ladies enjoyed a successful season of friendly games and the club competitions were generally all well supported.

The annual match between the Captain's and Vice captain's teams was a closely fought battle culminating in an honourable draw followed by lunch in the clubhouse.

Captain Hefina Thomas arranged an away day to Thornbury Golf club which was a most successful outing – Hefina has had an excellent year even providing the club with good weather for most of their Ladies competitions.

The club now go into the winter season where they have "fun" competitions on a Thursday morning – there is always something to play for even if conditions are a little challenging.

The Ladies Christmas lunch will be held on December 11 and the quizzes and cabarets are held regularly in the club house .
